Caring Mind Counseling
Boone NC
Founded in 2021 by Katelyn Monday, MA, LCMHC, LCAS. Caring Mind Counseling was built around a dog named Bosh. As our Psychiatric Facility Dog, he gave this practice its name, its logo, and its soul — a place where everyone is welcome, no one is judged, and healing feels possible. We lost Bosh in May 2026, but his spirit remains at the center of everything we are. What started as a one-person-one dog practice has since expanded into a small, dedicated team and we are excited to have you come to our space to heal!
At Caring Mind Counseling, our licensed therapists provide individual, couples, families, and group therapy in Boone, NC. We offer LGBTQ+, neurodiverse care using a variety of approaches. We believe therapy should fit the individual, not the other way around. Our therapists draw from a variety of experiential and evidence-based approaches to offer clients meaningful choices in their path toward healing. Whether through talk therapy, animal assisted therapy, EMDR, mindfulness, creative exploration, or body-based techniques, we aim to make therapy a collaborative and empowering experience.
Our cozy office reflects our values: personal, grounded, and growth-oriented. We are offering a space where care and curiosity meet.
