Step outside the therapy office and into the healing power of nature. This group uses the mountains and forests of the High Country as our co-therapist. We believe that by slowing down and deepening our connection to the earth, we can find wisdom, perspective, and calm in our own lives. Through guided invitations, mindful walking, and nature-based art, you will be invited to reconnect with yourself, your community, and the world around you.

It’s a supportive space for anyone needing a reset—to pause, breathe, and reconnect with what truly matters. Whether you're navigating stress, life transitions, or simply craving more balance, this group is here to help you prioritize your well-being and reclaim your energy.

Consistent attendance is encouraged to get the most out of this experience, but attending every session is not required. It is not required that you are in individual therapy, though it is encouraged that you have outside support of some kind to process any discoveries that may arise.
Participants are responsible for transporting themselves to the various locations, providing themselves water, and dressing appropriately for the weather and for gentle movement on trails.

Each 2-hour session is a guided journey into nature. We will gather at a designated trailhead or park area and begin with a brief check-in and a grounding exercise to help us arrive fully in the space. The core of our time will be spent doing a gentle, structured activity designed to engage your senses and deepen your connection with the environment. This might include a silent mindful walk, a sensory awareness meditation, or creating transient art with natural materials.
Following the main activity, we will come together for a group sharing circle. This is an opportunity (always optional) to share your experience, witness the experiences of others, and explore the personal meanings or metaphors that arose for you. We will close our session with a final check-out, ensuring you feel grounded before you depart.

Attending all sessions is not required, but consistent attendance is encouraged to get the most out of this experience.

This group meets in person at various parks and trails in and around the Boone, NC area. The specific location for each session will be provided to registered participants ahead of time. Please note this group meets outdoors and will involve gentle movement.

This group is offered on a self-pay, sliding scale of $35 - $65 per session. Our sliding scale is designed to make services more accessible while honoring the value of the work. When you sign up, you will choose the amount that feels most aligned with your current resources. No proof of finances is needed. We trust you to choose the rate that’s right for you, no questions asked.
Clients selecting self-pay agree to the rate tier chosen below. This rate will remain fixed for the duration of group participation:
$35–$44: For individuals with limited income or receiving assistance
$45–$54: For those with stable income and occasional discretionary spending-
$55–$65: For individuals with stable income, assets, or financial flexibility, who wish to support access for others
Insurance cannot be billed for ecotherapy groups.
